Conquering Stress With Acupuncture

What happens when you're really stressed out? Your body is keyed into your sympathetic nervous system or the "fight or flight syndrome." Your adrenals are pumping, your breathing is shallow, heart beat is rapid, and digestion is incomplete. On the psychological level it can manifest as:

• Poor memory
• Irritability
• Difficulty relaxing
• Feeling overwhelmed
• Negative thinking

The good news is there is a natural alternative. Acupuncture therapy helps your body to tune into your parasympathetic nervous system or relaxation response. After a treatment your heart beat is more regular, breathing is deeper, you're bringing more oxygen into your blood stream, smooth muscles are relaxed and digestion is more complete. And on the psychological level it can help you to feel clear headed, refreshed and reduces stress.

Western medicine attributes only one organ to our emotions...the brain. But Chinese medicine figured out early on that emotional problems are attributed to the whole organ system. And that the quality of our thoughts are determined by the status of our organs.

Chinese medicine discovered thousands of years ago that there is a link between the organs and emotions. So specific emotions relate to certain organs. For example, joy (or lack of joy) relates to the heart. Anger and frustration relates to the liver. Fear and procrastination relates to the kidneys. Grief or "letting go" is associated with the lungs. Worry relates to the stomach and spleen. Remember that saying: "My stomach is tied up in knots?" Well, there's a perfect illustration.

Acupuncture reinstates balance to the organ so then the corresponding emotion balances, too. Just like when a plant is welted, you give it water and miracle grow. Acupuncture sends nutrition to the organ.

Emotional disorders can be the result of a number of different organs that are imbalanced. Licensed acupuncturists use Chinese pulse diagnosis to determine which organ is involved in a malady.

Anger, irritability, and frustration are all signs that the liver is imbalanced. The liver is responsible for the smooth flow of energy throughout your body and for the smooth flow of your emotions.

Liver imbalance is one of the most common health problems seen in acupuncture clinics today. Symptoms can include irritability, pain in the area below the ribs, stuffiness of the chest, abdominal bloating, nausea, acid regurgitation, belching, diarrhea or constipation, feeling of a lump in the throat. And for women: irregular periods, painful periods and distention of the breasts prior to periods. Liver stagnation is commonly associated with PMS. Ideally in a health body the liver should be spreading energy to all the other organs evenly in a 360 degree pattern. If it is dysfunctional, it can shoot energy straight upwards and cause neck and should tension, headaches, migraines, even high blood pressure.

When you get upset the muscles around the liver get tight. Then the blood flow through the liver becomes restricted, especially through the portal vein. Then the function of the liver is impeded. Restriction of the bile duct results in bile not getting properly distributed in the duodenum. Then there are digestive problems. If there is poor circulation in the liver there will be emotional ups and downs. If the liver is fatty there will be depression, anxiety and/or frustration. With acupuncture therapy we can get the musculature around the liver to relax. This will increase blood flow to this organ, help the liver to detoxify and then the patient will begin to feel better.

In Chinese medicine we are obsessed with improving the circulation of blood. We are the plumbers of medicine. All the anti inflammatory agents, nutrients, antibiotics are in the blood. The function of blood circulation is what heals us. That function is at 100% when you are a baby. Remember the saying "in the pink?" As a person ages, the vascular system declines. There isn't enough blood circulating to heal the problem areas. Now, the beautiful thing about acupuncture is that when it is done correctly, it pushes the blood into the sick area to heal it. In western medicine they run tests to see if the patient is sick. But often, patients feel terrible, but the tests come out normal. So they are sick, but not sick enough to show up on their tests.

If there is an obstruction in the blood, the corresponding body part will be affected. If it's not fixed, it could turn into a malfunction. If it's not addressed, it could become a disease that won't go away. That's why acupuncture works so well. With acupuncture we can fix their plumbing to get their blood circulating again. Very frequently, patients come to us as a last resort. They've tried prescription drugs, they've been to their MD, or their physical therapist. And let's make it clear that these other practitioners may be doing some good work but for whatever reason it's not doing the job with the people that come to see us at our acupuncture clinic.

Traditional Chinese medicine was developed for your everyday citizen; to make him/her healthy, to increase energy and vitality. With acupuncture, we are actually improving the functioning of your internal organs. We can make the stress and pain go away. And we create a situation so the stress and pain does not come back.

Quantum Medicine (Quantum Therapy)

"Quantum medicine" as a trend in medical practice, appeared in 1998 and became a promising area of modern medical science. It is based on the use of modern achievements in physics, biochemistry and medical research in medical practices.

Quantum therapy - a single set of targeted therapeutic and diagnostic measures based on the interaction of low-energy (quantum) values (dose) of electromagnetic radiation with the information and power structures of the body to restore its homeostasis in the information, energy, and somatic levels. This medicine is not based on the action of chemical substances introduced into the human body, and the reactions of the organism to weak electromagnetic fields, it returns to equilibrium, also known as a "stable state".

Quantum devices low levels of radiation energy are applied to the therapeutic effects of laser on living tissues and cells. Low-intensity laser radiation stimulates the metabolic activity of cells activates the processes of life and regeneration (recovery). Laser radiation improves microcirculation, reduces swelling of tissues, stimulates the formation of neutrophilic and monocytic barrier to the formulation of bactericidal substances to prevent acidosis, hypoxia, anti-inflammatory and restorative effect. After exposure to the most characteristic changes in metabolism in the cell are: improvement of energy the mitochondria: active synthesis of ATP, an increase in activity of respiratory enzymes, increased glycolysis, reduction of the formation of free radicals. And as a result of the whole, the increasing resistance of the organism to external adverse influences.

Quantum medicine gradually covers all areas of medicine and medicine is on the right of the third millennium.

PRINCIPLES OF QUANTUM MEDICINE

In the quantum effects of low-intensity physical medicine is the basis for interaction flow of photons with atoms and molecules of matter. Quantum of light - is the minimum energy component of the light flux of solar radiation.

Through photosynthesis, the electromagnetic energy of a photon is converted into energy of chemical bonds of atoms and molecules of substances (vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, etc.) that creates the biological basis of the quantum treatment.

Medical studies have determined the levels of therapeutic doses of radiation energy and the quantum effects for different age groups. Depending on the severity of the manifestations and forms of disease were selected different levels of laser radiation effects on human tissue. Sole prevention, others for the treatment of diseases and the third to reduce the time of rehabilitation.

ADVANTAGES OF LOW-INTENSITY OF QUANTUM THERAPY

    * painless impact and environmental safety;
    * security level of the laser radiation dose;
    * no side effects and high preventive potential;
    * outpatient treatment and opportunity in the home;
    * increase the effectiveness of drugs, reducing their dosage and duration of treatment;
    * high mobility and the possibility of using a variety of conditions, including field;
    * affordability of quantum devices and small clinics and rural hospitals, and for personal use.

LOW-INTENSITY OF QUANTUM APPARATUS ( COLD LASER ) THERAPY

Today there is a large range of low-intensity quantum devices (Cold laser ) therapy. This allows us to satisfy the most exquisite demands of doctors and research institutes of the Ministry of Health. The devices differ in the levels emitted by the laser energy, the inclusion of continuous or pulsed laser emitters, a choice of the wavelength of the emission spectrum, setting the desired power and frequency modulation. According to the radiation power products are classified according to laser safety. Safety shall determine the admissibility of their application individually at home or only in medical offices with a means of individual protection of medical personnel and patients.

The increased complexity of vehicles, greater levels of radiated energy, multiple emitters, and all kinds of nozzles in the bundle form a high final prhce of products.

A large number of modes and the complexity of their choice require highly skilled health care providers to conduct therapeutic procedures. They are therefore more suitable for research and for hospitals and clinics, which provide treatment to a large influx of patients.

The apparatus of quantum therapy "Cold laser Vityas" is characterized by low control, minimal sufficient therapeutic regimes, the safe level of laser radiation (Class I), small size and affordability. At the same therapeutic effect produced by the apparatus of "Vityas" with the results of the impact of complex and expensive equipment.

PHYSICAL AND BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS The Principles of Quantum

The Cold laser Vityas is simultaneously used three types of effects: red light laser radiation, laser infrared (thermal) radiation and magnetic field.

Radiation in the red spectrum penetrates the body tissue to a depth of 2 cm, infrared - to 6 cm weak magnetic field penetrates the body tissues and freely.

The laser energy is absorbed by cells, tissues, is partially converted to thermal energy. However, heating of tissues is less than a tenth of a degree that can not make a significant thermal therapy. A magnetic field acting only on the iron atoms, which are the blood cells or molecules in proteins and enzymes also would not have to cause the therapeutic effect.

But the nature of the impact becomes clear at the quantum level microcosm of atoms and electrons. The principle of laser action opens in the ability of the atomic electrons absorb photons of light. The electron energy transferred to another orbit. An external magnetic field also changes the energy of the electrons, and facilitates their transition to a higher energy orbit.

After the transition of an electron in a different orbit changes the valence (number of connections) of the atom, which leads to changes in molecular structures. These changes are the beginning of the following biochemical reactions in the cell that lead to the normalization of its vital activity, and improve metabolic processes in the cell membrane.

Symptoms Are Teachers

If you are reading this article right now it is because you have an interest in understanding your health from a different perspective. You have likely struggled with unpleasant symptoms and are seeking some relief from them. There is a prevalent societal belief that unpleasant symptoms are problems of themselves. However getting rid of symptoms as an end bypasses the potential wisdom to be gained. Symptoms arise because there is disharmony present. Your body is alerting you to this fact, thank goodness we have signals to tell us. But too often we are not listening and brush off symptoms until they become real problems. Once they get our attention, there is a tendency to want to only get rid of them. We do things like take a pill or distract ourselves with entertainment and food. We are temporarily relieved but have not addressed the underlying imbalance or looked at how we might be contributing to the problem. It sounds silly to imagine taping over the gas light when our car is almost out of gas. But this is what we often do. It might soothe our mind for the moment but will not stop the car from running out of gas.

When someone comes in for acupuncture a practitioner first works to relieve the symptoms. The next step is to address the underlying imbalance. Just because the symptoms have been relieved does not mean that the underlying disharmony has been remedied. This is a time for the person to really examine their lifestyle and listen closely to their body. Which lifestyle choices create balance? Which create imbalance? Which bring well being? Which bring suffering? Our body is the perfect feedback mechanism which keeps us in line with our own nature. As soon as we get out of line, our body let's us know and it is our responsibility to listen.

A person might come in with severe migraine headaches and be intent on relief. Acupuncture is very effective at this. But as treatment progresses the practitioner finds out that this person gets very angry at work, does not exercise, and does not drink very much water. So the focus is on ways the person can express their anger more appropriately, get them regularly exercising and drinking more water. After a few weeks to their surprise they are free from migraines. This is an example of how someone who starts listening closely to their body becomes empowered to be their own healer. How much money might be saved by not having to go to as many doctors? How much of life might be enjoyed more when we shift our attitude about healing? Often we do not need anyone to fix us, what we truly need is to know ourselves. No machine can replace our own awareness and no doctor can replace our own wisdom. Symptoms are our teachers and have many jewels to offer if we will only listen.
